Administration of Taxation usually posts the updated business registration certificate and branch registration certificate in the next work day of the date when the company issues the certificate of the change of the company name/the registration certificate of the change of non-Hong Kong company’s legal person name. If the company badly needs the updated business registration certificate and branch registration certificate, the company can take the following arrangements.

(a) The certificate of the change of the company name/the registration certificate of the change of non-Hong Kong company’s legal person name on paper.

When the company receives the notice of receiving the certificate given by the Hong Kong Company Registry, the company can fax the copy of this notice to the Business Registration Office on that day.

Please note on that copy: the relevant business registration certificate number and the request of receiving the updated registration certificate in the Business Registration Office in person in the next work day.

When you receive the relevant registration certificate in the counter NO.8 in the Business Registration Office, you should show the relevant the certificate of the change of the company name/the registration certificate of the change of non-Hong Kong company’s legal person name and offer the notice from the Business Registration Office.

(b) The digital version of the certificate of the change of the company name/the registration certificate of the change of non-Hong Kong company’s legal person name.

When you receive the digital certificate, you can take the copy of this certificate to the Business Registration Office in person on that day.
